RELATED TOPICS

280 CapMarkets has appointed of one of its founders, Prescott Nasser, as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Nasser has an exceptional history of delivering innovative technologies to financial markets. Leveraging early studies at UC Berkeley and Stanford focused on economics and cognitive science, with specialisation in artificial intelligence and computer science, he brings unique and valuable approaches to hard industry problems.

Nasser and his team of fintech developers are building a better way for wealth advisors to invest in bonds. He leads the cloud software and network design for 280 Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of 280 CapMarkets, with the focused goal of improving bond price transparency and trade execution.

“Prescott has a strong background and deep experience in capital markets and financial services technology systems,” says Gurinder S Ahluwalia, CEO of 280 CapMarkets. “Prescott’s passion for solving business challenges and opening system designs can also be seen in his role as Vice President at the open-source Apache Software Foundation. For 280 Technologies, he has assembled an impressive team of seasoned developers and technologists and we are excited to have him drive our technical vision and implementation.”

“With financial market regulatory changes and the explosion of data feeds, there’s a fantastic opportunity to build a platform to significantly improve the advisor’s investment experience for the benefit of their clients” said Nasser. “I am extremely excited to be teaming with my deeply experienced co-founders to bring a fresh perspective to capital markets.”

280’s new technology will enter a beta cycle this summer, enabling investment professionals and advisors to access, transparently view, and curate fixed income offerings.
