In his new role, Weingram will engage directly with clients, articulating Acadian's views on market developments and current topics in quantitative investing. He will also help to drive Acadian's development of analytics and new investment products.

"Seth brings over 15 years of relevant experience to the Acadian team, including a rare combination of background in quantitative investing as well as options and volatility," says Dowd. Previously, Weingram worked at Barclays Global Investors as a researcher focusing on options and volatility, and he was a founding member and for several years global head of Deutsche Bank's award-winning Equity Derivatives Strategy Group.

"It's an honour to join such a talented team at a firm renowned for both innovation and a disciplined investment process," Weingram says, "I'm excited for the opportunity to support Acadian's continued growth and affirm its position as an industry leader in quantitative investing."
