ADIA appoints head of Asia ex Japan, internal equities department

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) has appointed Suresh Sadasivan as head of Asia ex Japan, internal equities department, effective immediately.

 
Sadasivan will be responsible for developing strategy, managing risk, and overseeing management of Asia ex Japan-focused investment portfolios in ADIA’s internal equities deportment. He will lead a team of senior portfolio managers.
 
Based in Dubai, Sadasivan will report to Mohamed Darwish Al Khoori, executive director of the internal equities department.
 
With 21 years of experience in financial markets, Sadasivan joins ADIA from Legal and General Investment Managemet, where he was head of Asia Pacific equities since 2011. He previously held a number of positions in London and Singapore for firms including JL Capital and Old Mutual Asset Management, where he managed UK, Asian and Latin American equity funds and also served as head of emerging market equities.
 
Al Khoori says: “We are delighted to welcome Suresh to ADIA. His extensive knowledge of Asia-Pacific and emerging markets in general, coupled with his experience in managing sizeable portfolios, will further enhance our efforts in this extremely important region.”
