Alpha FMC hires Director to strengthen offering in Singapore

RELATED TOPICS

Alpha FMC (Alpha), a specialist in asset and wealth management consulting, has appointed Paul Tan as a Director for its Asia Pacific regional team. Tan brings 15 years of experience to Alpha FMC, having worked in global, regional and domestic financial institutions across Asia.

Tan’s expertise spans operating model design, business development strategy as well as distribution and client experience management. Alpha’s APAC asset and wealth management team is already on an accelerated growth trajectory and Tan will help to expand Alpha’s Asia offices, a rapidly growing regional business.

Prior to his appointment, Tan spent five years at Greenwich Associates, where he was Managing Director of the firm’s Asia Pacific region. While at Greenwich, Paul maintained a consistent focus on serving the leading global investment banks and asset managers in the APAC region. Under his leadership, the franchise expanded into India and the Middle East, while deepening its coverage of more regional and local players across SE Asia and Greater China. Paul’s career began at Oliver Wyman, where he spent nine years in several practices across the firm.

Michael Chaille, Alpha FMC Asia Executive Director, says: “Paul’s recruitment will allow us to accelerate the development of our market presence and scale in the region. This great appointment shows further commitment to the creation of a truly local Alpha team in the same mould that has made us successful in other locations.”

Tan says: “Accepting the opportunity to join the team in Asia was an easy decision, having seen both the cultural fit and then the tangible and specialised expertise the firm brings to clients globally. I am excited to be part of the team at Alpha and promote its growth and localisation in the region.”
