Alpha FMC opens office in Switzerland

RELATED TOPICS

Alpha FMC, a specialist in asset and wealth management consulting, has opened an office in Geneva, its first in Switzerland.

The move is a key step in Alpha’s geographic expansion strategy.

Founded in the UK in 2003, the consultancy now has nine offices and an established presence in the UK, US, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

The office will be led by Nicolas Cherbuin, a Swiss national with over 13 years of experience working in the investment management industry. He previously spent 10 years at EFG International Group, where he held various responsibilities across different departments such as operations, risks, projects, and finance, latterly holding the position of COO. He then joined the family office Meeschaert Group, where he managed the strategic projects stream for three years.

Alpha’s work in Switzerland will help asset and wealth management firms improve their operations and infrastructure across the value chain, from implementing digital platforms and data approaches, to improving distribution strategies, and reviewing investment operating models and technologies.

Cherbuin says: “Our ambition is to support local asset and wealth managers in reinventing their value proposal and optimising their internal processes, in a challenging and ever changing industry environment. The team in Geneva will provide the growing and dynamic Swiss market with unrivalled expertise and industry insight, acquired through working with more than 75 per cent of the top 100 asset and wealth managers in the world.”

Luc Baque (pictured), Alpha FMC Europe CEO, says: “We have worked on many successful projects with our international asset and wealth management clients and we are excited to bring this expertise to Switzerland. We are confident in our capacity to adapt our methodologies to the local market in order to ensure that our Swiss clients will remain at the top of the international asset management game.”

Euan Fraser, Alpha FMC global CEO, says: "Switzerland is a leading market for fund and wealth management, and we are delighted to welcome Nicolas Cherbuin as the chief executive of Alpha Switzerland. Opening an office in Switzerland represents a key step in our European and global expansion."
