Angel Oak Consulting, a risk management consultancy providing a range of services to financial institutions, has hired Nathaniel Eidt as Director of Production.
Eidt will be responsible for assisting the firm’s financial institution clients with risk management modelling issues, including the development and assessment of modelling frameworks for asset/liability management (ALM) and Dodd-Frank Act stress testing (DFAST).
Eidt has over nine years of relevant experience from which to draw on for his role in assisting clients’ expanding and diverse banking needs. His focus on ALM led him to Scottrade Bank, where he served as the lead ALM analyst in the Treasury Division. He managed the ALCO reporting process and developed numerous ad-hoc modelling improvements, including the addition of DFAST capabilities to Scottrade’s ALM model. Prior to Scottrade, he worked at Fiserv, where he consulted with their Sendero ALM model clients having total assets ranging from USD500 million to over USD30 billion.
Eidt’s client solutions included everything from assistance with basic ALM concepts to complete overhauls of their modelling infrastructure. He also trained clients on the proper use of sophisticated financial valuation and earnings simulation techniques and taught classes on ALM concepts.
“We think Nate’s unique background in ALM and stress testing are a perfect fit for the team and will complement our already robust consultant roster,” says Rob McDonough, Senior Consulting Manager for Angel Oak Consulting. “Bringing Nate on board enhances our ability to help our clients develop the necessary risk management capabilities to stay ahead of heightened regulatory requirements and thrive in a very challenging interest rate environment.”
In his new role at Angel Oak Consulting, Eidt will report to McDonough.
