Apex Group, a global financial services provider, has appointed Valerie Mantot-Groene as head of Asia-Pacific.
The appointment closely follows the announcement from the group last week on its expanded corporate solutions offering in Asia-Pacific, through obtaining a Trust and Corporate Services licence in Hong Kong.
Apex opened its first office in Asia in 2007 and now has seven offices across the region, with over 500 employees, and circa USD40 billion in regional AUA.
Having led the Asia-Pacific operation over the past two and a half years, delivering successful growth and expansion, Maggie Chan now hands over the reins to Mantot-Groene as she moves to pursue new avenues.
Mantot-Groene joins Apex from SANNE GROUP, to continue leading the firm’s growth and performance across the Asia-Pacific region. Reporting directly to the global head of fund solutions, Srikumar TE, she brings more than 18 years’ experience in investment management. A qualified lawyer with a broad ranging set of skills and experience, she is well positioned to lead Apex across Asia-Pacific, and continue to deliver its single-source message to the local market across fund solutions, financial solutions, and corporate solutions.
Srikumar TE, global head of fund services, comments: “Valerie’s addition to the Apex leadership team is great timing, given the expansion of our services and capabilities across a broader spectrum of financial services in the region. She is a highly experienced professional who will bring important senior leadership skills to our team in Asia-Pacific.”
Mantot-Groene adds: “I am very pleased to be joining Apex at this exceptional milestone within its story. The group has been on an impressive growth trajectory and the Asia-Pacific region is ready to leverage the single-source capabilities the group has to offer at a local level which provides a really unique solution for local clients.”
