AQR expands Asia presence with Hong Kong office

RELATED TOPICS

AQR Capital Management has opened an office in Hong Kong after securing approval from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.

AQR says the new office will enable it to better serve and grow its regional client base.

Matei Mihalca, previously based in AQR’s headquarters Greenwich, CT, has relocated to Hong Kong and will lead AQR’s new office and oversee the firm’s day-to-day business initiatives.

Gregor Andrade, AQR principal and head of the firm’s international team, says: “We are committed to enhancing our local presence in the Asia region. Establishing our Hong Kong office is a significant step for us as it will enable us to better serve our clients here and to share our expertise with other investors in Hong Kong and the broader region.

“Hong Kong is one of Asia’s leading investor hubs and we’re delighted to be part of this dynamic market. I’m looking forward to working with our existing and new clients to help them meet their investment goals over the coming years.”
