Arendt & Medernach appoints transfer pricing expert

RELATED TOPICS

Arendt & Medernach has appointed transfer pricing expert Danny Beeton as Counsel.

Beeton (pictured), is part of the tax and transfer pricing practice focusing on the transfer pricing aspects of complex financial transactions, asset management structures and restructures.

He advises clients on the determination of arm’s length prices for all types of related party transactions, including goods, services and intellectual property, but with a special focus on financial transactions such as loans, guarantees, group treasury policies and asset management fees.

Danny’s assistance is sought in the context of transfer pricing compliance and reporting, controversy and planning, and he has provided expert reports in the context of litigation.

Alain Goebel, Tax Partner heading Arendt’s transfer pricing practice, says: “We have been active in transfer pricing since the first set of rules was introduced in Luxembourg in 2011. Over time, transfer pricing has become crucial in tax structuring and we face an increasing number of transfer pricing litigation cases. Danny’s in-depth knowledge and experience in transfer pricing, in particular regarding financial services, perfectly fits into our existing practice and enhances our capabilities.”

Jean-Marc Ueberecken, Managing Partner, says: “Transfer pricing is key to our firm’s tax strategy and we are proud as a law firm to be able to offer complete transfer pricing solutions, both from a legal and an economic perspective. The arrival of as prominent an expert as Danny allows our firm to further develop our expertise in this field. It also demonstrates our ability to attract the best talents on the international market to our firm.”

Beeton says: “Clients increasingly need access to integrated legal services. As a full service law firm, Arendt is able to couple its top-notch tax practice with its other practices, such as private equity and real estate, investment management and banking and finance. This offers an exceptional platform to provide this integrated service to clients, including transfer pricing services. I am very excited to join the firm.”
