Aviva has appointed Sir Adrian Montague as a non-executive director of the company.
Sir Adrian (pictured) is currently chairman of 3i Group and Anglian Water Group, deputy chairman and senior independent director of UK Green Investment Bank and a non-executive director of Skanska.
He was previously chairman of Friends Provident, British Energy Group, Michael Page International and Cross London Rail Links and deputy chairman of Network Rail Infrastructure.
He was also closely involved in the implementation of the UK Government’s policies of investing private capital in public infrastructure, first as chief executive of the Treasury Taskforce and then as deputy chairman of Partnerships UK.
John McFarlane, chairman of Aviva, says: “I am delighted that Sir Adrian has agreed to join Aviva’s board given his extensive non-executive and insurance experience.”
