Aviva Investors appoints global head of institutional marketing

Global asset manager Aviva Investors has appointed Micheal Ramirez in the newly-created role of Global Head of Institutional Marketing. 

Based in London, Ramirez will lead the UK Institutional, pan-European, North American, Asia Pacific and Real Estate marketing teams. He will report to Isla MacKenzie, Global Head of Marketing and External Communications, and be a member of the Global Senior Marketing Leadership team.
 
Ramirez has 14 years’ experience in asset management, including over five years in senior marketing roles at BlackRock; most recently as Head of US iShares Institutional Marketing. Previously, Ramirez spent eight years at Allianz Global Investors, working in a variety of product strategy, client relations, consultant relations and marketing roles.
 
Isla MacKenzie, Global Head of Marketing and External Communications at Aviva Investors, says: “I am delighted to welcome Micheal to Aviva Investors. He has proven leadership credentials and expertise, spanning strategic, digital and product marketing, and will bring valuable insight on international distribution. Micheal will be responsible for building a market-leading global institutional marketing strategy, helping us accelerate our efforts in priority areas including Insurance Solutions, Real Assets and strategic projects with Aviva Group companies.”
