AXA Investment Managers appoints Global Head of AXA IM Equity

RELATED TOPICS

AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM) has appointed Mark Hargraves, currently Global Head of AXA IM Framlington Equities, as Global Head of AXA IM Equity, a newly created platform that will combine the firm’s fundamental (Framlington Equities) and quantitative (Rosenberg Equities) equity capabilities, effective 1 January 2022.

Based in London, Hargraves will retain his current portfolio management responsibilities.

As part of this new set up, AXA IM’s quantitative capabilities will be called “Equity QI” (Quant Investing) and the Framlington name will be phased out.

Under the leadership of Hans Stoter, AXA IM Core Investments will therefore be comprised of three platforms:

• AXA IM Equity (including Equity QI) headed by Mark Hargraves,
• AXA IM Fixed Income headed by Marion Le Morhedec,
• AXA IM Multi-Asset headed by Serge Pizem.

The Equity QI team will continue to be led by Paul Flavier, currently Global Head of AXA IM Rosenberg Equities. As Global Head of AXA IM Equity QI, Paul will report to Mark from 1 January 2022.

Hans Stoter, Global Head of AXA IM Core, says: “I am confident that the creation of the AXA IM Equity platform under the single leadership of Mark will bring clarity and simplicity to our clients when it comes to our equity offering and will help accelerate the profitable growth of our equity business thanks to the synergies the combination of our fundamental and quant capabilities will enable.”
