The Axa WF Framlington Human Capital Fund is now an official signatory of the European Socially Responsible Investment Transparency Guidelines.
The European SRI Transparency Guidelines, implemented in November 2004 by the European Sustainable Investment Forum with the support of the European Commission, provides a framework for greater clarity and accountability on the processes and principles of SRI funds and supports best practice in this sector.
Axa Investment Management’s statement of commitment to these guidelines for the fund has been successfully reviewed by the UK Sustainable Investment Forum enabling it to now be identified by the unique transparency logo.
Melissa McDonald, global head of responsible investment, Axa IM, says: ‘Everyone now agrees that the financial system should offer more transparency and what more obvious place to start than with responsible investment products? This transparency needs to have a level of guarantee and Eurosif has the reputation and expertise to ensure that this transparency is delivered through appropriate labelling. At Axa IM we are very pleased to be associated with this initiative as it demonstrates our continuing commitment to responsible investment.’
The Axa WF Framlington Human Capital is the only European fund that invests in companies based on the quality of their human capital management. The investment philosophy is based on the belief that financial performance starts with staff productivity and above-average human capital management. The fund is managed by Jean-Marc Maringe who is a senior analyst and portfolio manager at Axa IM.
The European SRI transparency logo signifies that Axa Investment Managers commits to provide accurate, adequate and timely information to enable stakeholders, in particular consumers, to understand the SRI policies and practices relating to the fund.
