Backstop and ACA complete cloud-to-ground database integration

RELATED TOPICS

Backstop Solutions Group, a provider of cloud-based productivity solutions for hedge funds, funds of funds, pensions, endowments, foundations, private equity firms, consultants and family offices, and ACA Technology Solutions, a provider of investment management and regulatory technology solutions, have completed an API integration of their solutions.

The hook-up connects ACA's NorthPoint Data Management and Security Master Solutions to Backstop's CRM, Research Management, and Portfolio Management Systems.

The connectivity with ACA allows Backstop clients to integrate data from multiple sources, including proprietary systems and other relevant data stores and providers, creating a seamless flow of information and ensuring users are working with a "golden source" of data.

ACA Technology Solutions is a division of ACA Compliance Group, a provider of regulatory compliance products and solutions. ACA's team of financial technologists created NorthPoint Data Management Solutions to provide aggregated and consistent security, trading, reference, pricing, and other data to improve performance, reduce risk, and increase efficiency. Combined with Backstop Solutions Group's adaptable suite of products, this integration provides a hybrid solution for the alternative management community.

"Our asset owner/allocator clients frequently use Backstop's cloud-based, flexible platforms to manage data from a variety of sources," says Bob Goldbaum, SVP of product and market strategy at Backstop. "By integrating with ACA's data management solutions, our most complex clients can now benefit from an in-house data store while ensuring they'll be looking at the most updated information, regardless of the point of entry. Ultimately, this partnership enables more flexible reporting and adherence to approved data management workflows, while still taking advantage of the user-friendly Backstop manager entry and reporting screens. Allowing allocators to take advantage of a unique, best-in-class hybrid solution furthers our commitment to increasing our clients' business agility while reducing their operational risks."

"This integration is an important step towards creating an environment that allows end users to manage data in the systems that help their businesses run," says Johan Glozman (pictured), managing director at ACA and product manager for NorthPoint Data Management Solutions. "Management of private fund reference data can move seamlessly between systems and departments in a workflow that fits the clients' business model, solving a common issue for large allocators."
