Barings strengthens North America sales and client service

Baring Asset Management has appointed Michael Annis as head of sales and business development, Canada and Kieran Stover as vice president, sales and business development, based in Portland, Oregon.

Annis joins from JP Morgan Asset Management (Canada) in Toronto, Canada. As a consultant advisor he focused his efforts on servicing the institutional consultant community across Canada. 
 
Previously Annis held positions at AllianceBernstein Canada and Royal Bank of Canada Dominion Securities.
 
Annis is responsible for business development across Canada and client service in Canada and some parts of the US.
 
Stover joins from Kleinwort Benson Investors International, where he was a senior vice president, business development. He focused on West Coast opportunities where he specialised in both consultant relations and direct plan sponsor business development. Prior to this Stover was director of business development at Arnerich Massena in Portland, Oregon. 
 
Stover is responsible for sales and business development covering consultants and plan sponsors in the Western US.
 
Michael Siciliano, head of sales and business development in North America, says: “We are delighted to have Michael and Kieran join the team as we look to expand and deepen our coverage in Canada and on the West Coast.  Both bring experience, professionalism and significant institutional contacts to our team at Barings.  We consider both to be great additions and key components to the continued growth of the firm.”
