bfinance has appointed two new advisory professionals. Alexandra Martinez joins as a Director and William Nicholson as an Associate, both in the UK and Ireland Client Coverage team.

Martinez has over 10 years of experience in financial services, most recently consulting for pension funds, family offices and corporate investors. Prior to joining bfinance in January 2015, Martinez was a partner at Arbour Partners, an investment advisory and placement firm and a partner of St James’s Place Wealth Management. Martinez started her career as a management consultant at PWC and worked in the UK, USA and South East Asia. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Uppsala University, Sweden and is fluent in English, Swedish and Spanish.

Nicholson has developed experience in the UK Local Authority sector, spending four years with Inalytics Ltd, a quantitative research software-house using attribution analysis to determine fund manager skill levels for Local Authorities, family offices, sovereign wealth funds and CIOs of fund managers. Nicholson is a graduate from the University of Central Lancashire.

Pal Sarai, Senior Director at bfinance, says: "We are delighted to welcome Alexandra and William to bfinance and excited by the wealth of experience that they bring to our already strong Client Coverage teams.  I am certain that they will make a very rapid and demonstrable contribution to our clients and our firm."

David Vafai, Chief Executive Officer of bfinance, says: "As we continue to proactively grow our team and develop our global capabilities, our new team members will add significant expertise and support for our clients."
