Investment specialist Blackfinch has further increased its distribution team with the hire of Paul Lanigan as Distribution Strategy Director.

Lanigan will be developing the Blackfinch presence in the capital markets arena to include discretionary fund manager’s pension funds, family offices, banks and institutional investment.

With more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, Lanigan joins Blackfinch from Standard Life where he spent the last 22 years. 17 of those were as part of the leadership team where he held several senior roles including National Accounts Manager, Regional Manager (Investment) and latterly Head of Distribution (London & South East).

Jerry Price, Chief Distribution Officer at Blackfinch, comments: “Paul joins Blackfinch at an important point in our growth. His skills in leadership, strategy planning and stakeholder engagement will be key in developing the strategic direction of all lines of business across Blackfinch.”

Lanigan is a Fellow of the PFS, a Chartered Financial Planner, holder of the Investment Management Certificate and is a STEP Affiliate.

Lanigan says: “I am delighted to be joining a fantastic team and have been really impressed with the culture, passion, enthusiasm and energy that exists within Blackfinch.

“I am looking forward to this very exciting challenge and supporting the ongoing growth and success of the group over the coming years.”

Blackfinch, which has over GBP500 million in assets under management and administration, focuses on tax-efficient investments, including Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS) and Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs), and inheritance tax (IHT) mitigation services.
