BlackRock Advisors has announced that the joint special meeting of shareholders of BlackRock Global Equity Income Trust, BlackRock World Investment Trust and BlackRock Global Opportunities Equity Trust has been held and adjourned upon shareholder motion until 2 June.

The special meeting was adjourned to allow additional time to further solicit votes in connection with the proposed reorganisation of each of BlackRock Global Equity Income Trust and BlackRock World Investment Trust into BlackRock Global Opportunities Equity Trust, with BlackRock Global Opportunities Equity Trust being the surviving fund.

The reconvened special meeting of shareholders will be held in New Jersey on 2 June 2009.
