BNP Paribas Investment Partners has appointed Mark te Riele as head of marketing for the firm’s Asia Pacific and emerging markets business, based in London.

Te Riele has relocated to London from Hong Kong, where he was previously head of marketing and distribution, APAC for BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

In his new role, he will report to the London‐based head of APAC and emerging, Ligia Torres, and will oversee BNPP IP’s marketing activities in APAC and the emerging markets.

Te Reile says: “I am very keen in my new role to establish BNPP IP as a leader in emerging market investments, which will translate into both increased inflows for our broad emerging market product range and external recognition for our unrivalled footprint in emerging markets.”

Torres says: “Mark has 17 years of experience with the BNP Paribas Group, including some 10 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region, and so is very well positioned for his new role. His appointment reinforces the commitment of BNPP IP to the APAC and emerging region and follows a number of recent senior appointments across the business line.”
