RELATED TOPICS

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Hayley Boesky as vice chairman of global markets.

In this newly created role, Boesky will work to strengthen the company’s client relationships by leveraging her expertise and contacts with institutional investors and the official sector.

She will also play a leading role in business development.

Boesky joins the company from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York where since 2007 she was a senior officer and director of market analysis responsible for cross market monitoring, analytical development, and buy-side analysis and relationship management.

"I’m extremely pleased that Hayley will be joining the company. Her quantitative background coupled with her direct experience in the Federal Reserve’s market surveillance and market functioning programs will enhance our dialogue with clients as well as our ability to respond to future market events," says Tom Montag, president of global banking and markets. "I look forward to her strategic counsel and to her contributions to winning new business."

"It’s an exciting time to be joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and I’m looking forward to working with their diverse client base," adds Boesky. "The company is a formidable, global investment bank and has tremendous momentum as a result of its global scale, first rate resources and full service capabilities."

Boesky will work with the global markets management team and will report jointly to Bryan Weadock, co-head of global fixed income, currencies and commodities sales, and Mike Joo, chief operating officer, global markets.

Boesky will be based in New York and will join the company next month.
