Brandes Investment Partners makes institutional sales team appointments

Brandes Investment Partners has announced a series of appointments to its institutional sales team to position the firm for growth.

"We’ve put together a highly experienced team of investment professionals to serve the needs of our existing and prospective institutional clients throughout North America," says Jim Diack, Global Head of Institutional Business Development. "We believe this is the right team to bring Brandes’ value investing approach to new clients in the market."

Michael Parsons has been hired as Director, Institutional Sales and will cover Canada and Northeastern United States. Parsons joined Brandes in 2011 and has over 20 years of industry experience. Previously, Parsons was Director of Business Development and Client Service for AllianceBernstein’s Canadian operations and a Principal with Brockhouse Cooper.

Christopher Chard has been appointed Director, Institutional Sales and will cover the Central and Western United States. Mr. Chard has 17 years of industry experience and has been a Regional Manager with Brandes covering Private Clients in the Midwest for the past 14 years. Before joining Brandes in 1997, Chard was First Vice President at Insight Capital Research and Management.

Ginger Weston, CFA, has been named Consultant Relationship Manager, based in San Diego. In her role, Ms. Weston will be involved in developing and servicing relationships with institutional investment consultants and advisors. Weston has been with the firm for 15 years, most recently as a Private Client Portfolio Manager. Before joining Brandes, she was Senior Compliance Officer for Transamerica Financial Resources, Inc, a registered broker/dealer in Los Angeles. Weston has 18 years of investment experience.
