Cantor Fitzgerald adds Stephen Parish as head of equity capital markets

RELATED TOPICS

Cantor Fitzgerald has hired Stephen Parish as head of equity capital markets within the investment banking group.

Parish, who spent most of his career at Bear Stearns, will be responsible for enhancing Cantor’s equity and equity linked origination efforts.

“Steve’s deep understanding of equity capital markets coupled with his strong relationships developed over years in the financial marketplace are a great combination, especially in light of the rapid growth we are experiencing in our global capital markets business,” says Shawn Matthews, chief executive of Cantor Fitzgerald.

Parish says: “With its premier equity sales and trading platform, Cantor is extremely well positioned to become a significantly larger participant in middle market investment banking. I am excited to have the opportunity to join Cantor and help drive the firm’s continuing growth.”

Previously, Parish was a senior managing director at Bear Stearns and played a key role in the firm’s equity capital markets activities. He was global head of the equity transactions group and oversaw the successful completion of hundreds of equity transactions. Recently, Parish served as a senior adviser to Fletcher Asset Management.
