Capital Group launches multi-asset income strategy for European and Asian investors

RELATED TOPICS

Capital Group is launching a multi-asset income strategy – Capital Group Capital Income Builder (LUX), a Luxembourg-domiciled fund (UCITS) – for investors in Europe and Asia.

The launch continues the build-out of a multi-year strategic plan to give clients based outside the US access to Capital Group’s long-standing US strategies.

The new fund follows the same investment approach as the 30-plus year old, USD100 billion-plus multi-asset income strategy from the US, and is managed by the same investment team. The fund seeks to provide a level of current income that exceeds the average yield on US stocks generally and to provide a growing stream of income over the years, expressed in USD.

Christophe Braun, investment director at Capital Group, says: “In today’s low-yield environment, many investors are looking for more balanced products that can provide a reliable income stream, without excessive exposure to volatility. Our tried-and-tested approach, which focuses on dividend stocks for income as opposed to lower quality fixed income investments, can potentially provide a more durable return profile for investors.”

Hamish Forsyth (pictured), European President of Capital Group, adds: “Our multi-asset investing capability dates back to the 1970s and we now manage almost USD400 billion in multi-asset investments globally. We are seeing growing demand in Europe for multi-asset products, and therefore continue to expand our offering and capabilities in this area for investors outside the US.”

Capital Group has been serving investors in Europe since 1962, when the company opened its first non-US office in Geneva, Switzerland. Capital Group currently employs more than 500 associates in Europe. It has offices and sales branches in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan and Zurich.
