Carmignac has appointed Gautier Ripert as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Ripert will have oversight of Carmignac’s operating model, data and IT solutions, as well as the Middle-Office and Technology departments. In light of these responsibilities, Gautier will also join the Strategic Development Committee.
Most recently, Ripert was Global Head of Operations at AXA Investment Managers. During his 16 years with AXA IM, Ripert held various roles within Operations and Technology where he notably led large transformation initiatives for Front Office departments. He was also the Chief Operating Officer of the Greenwich office in the US. Ripert started his career in 1995 at Credit Agricole and subsequently joined Société Générale in the early 2000s. Ripert is an engineering graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris.
