Cetera Financial Institutions appoints VP head of relationship management

RELATED TOPICS

Cetera Financial Institutions (CFI), part of Cetera Financial Group, has appointed industry veteran Britt Woods as vice president, head of relationship management, effective immediately.

In his new role overseeing adviser recruiting and business consulting activities for CFI, Woods will report directly to the firm’s president, LeAnn Rummel. He will be based in Franklin, TN, while spending significant time in the field with CFI’s business consultants and recruiters, together with the bank and credit union wealth management programs and financial advisors they support.

Cetera Financial Institutions is the Cetera firm specifically focused on serving the wealth management programs of banks and credit unions.

Rumme says: “We enthusiastically welcome Britt Woods to Cetera Financial Institutions. Britt brings a well-established track record of building exceptional advisor business coaching and advisor recruiting programs in the financial institutions channel, and he shares our vision of creating a truly advice-centric experience for financial advisors and their clients. Britt’s expertise will enhance our ability to provide bank and credit union-based financial advisors with highly customised support, thus enabling them to better serve their clients, while also creating new opportunities to align the institutions we serve with experienced financial advisors seeking to grow as part of a financial institution. We’re looking forward to everything we can accomplish together with Britt as part of our team.”

In addition to adviser recruiting, Woods’ responsibilities in his new role will include helping the wealth management programs of CFI-affiliated institutions achieve their organic growth goals by increasing client wallet share and capitalising on other opportunities to build same-store sales, as well as retention of existing financial institution relationships. He will work in conjunction with executive vice president and national director of business development Sean Casey, who oversees CFI’s institutional recruiting efforts.

Woods most recently served at Fifth Third Bank as vice president and sales manager, where he managed financial advisers, licensed bankers and sales assistants across three different affiliates. He was awarded Retail Partner of the Year during every year of his service, in recognition of his effectiveness in supporting the client service success of the professionals reporting to him.

Prior to that, Woods served at NatCity Investments as vice president and financial adviser, where he was named top financial adviser for seven consecutive years, while personally producing over USD10 million in revenue during this tenure.

Woods says: “I’m excited to join Cetera Financial Institutions, a firm which has been recognised for many years as a clear leader in supporting the delivery of professional financial advice from banks and credit unions. CFI’s ability to help grow bank and credit union wealth management programmes, combined with its commitment to transform how advisors guide individuals and families to achieve financial well-being at every stage of life, positions the firm for continued leadership in our industry. I’m eager to get to know the advisers and programmes supported by CFI, and to help the financial institutions they are with, as well as the clients they support, to achieve their goals.”
