City Financial Investment Company, the London-based independent fund manager, has been appointed by OPM Fund Management as manager of its fund range.

As part of this arrangement, City Financial will acquire OPM Fund Management.

Effective 1 April 2013, City Financial’s team of fund managers will assume investment management responsibilities across OPM’s GBP75.2m fund range.

Mark Harris (pictured) will manage the EFA OPM Worldwide Opportunities Fund and EFA OPM Diversified Target Return Fund, while the UK equity manager Leigh Himsworth, manager of the CF Eden Select Opportunities Fund, will be responsible for the EFA OPM UK Equity Fund and EFA OPM Equity High Income Fund.

Tony Yousefian, of OPM Fund Management, will join Harris in City Financial’s multi-asset team. Yousefian will continue to manage the EFA OPM Fixed Interest Fund and become lead manager of the EFA OPM Property Fund. The team will also manage the range of OPM model portfolios created for the Parmenion platform.

Ed Rosengarten, head of UK asset management at City Financial, says: “Our appointment gives OPM clients access to a proven team of investment professionals with impressive track records, committed to delivering a compelling, expertly managed outcome to investors.”
