DA Davidson & Co has hired Joe Morgan, an experienced investment banker, as a managing director in the firm’s technology banking team in Costa Mesa, California.

“Joe is a highly respected investment banker whose proven expertise and deep relationships will help us continue the momentum we have in the tech sector,” says Rory McKinney, head of investment banking at DA Davidson. “He has a strong track record as leader on more than 50 software advisory and financing assignments, and we look forward to working with Joe as a vital player on our broader technology team.”

“It’s a privilege to be part of the investment banking group at DA Davidson and especially to join such a high-calibre team,” says Morgan. “I look forward to working alongside the technology team as we continue to build on the firm’s successes and take advantage of what we collectively believe will be a large market opportunity for our full-service approach.”

“Joe adds a strong new dynamic that enriches our technology team while bringing a deep understanding and passion for the sector,” says Brad Gevurtz, managing director. “His breadth and depth of experience will be key as we work to meet a growing demand for our services.”

Morgan most recently served as a managing director at Wedbush Securities. He also has held investment banking positions with Signal Hill Capital Group (previously Montgomery & Co) and JP Morgan Securities.
