Prior to this, he was an associate in the mergers and acquisitions group at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.

Joseph Perella, chairman and chief executive officer of Perella Weinberg Partners, says: “We are operating in a transforming environment where independent advice and institutional alternative investment solutions are increasingly prized by clients and investors. To better meet the needs of clients globally, we are focused on strategically expanding our geographic reach, enhancing our product offering and augmenting our professional talent. With today’s announcement, we continue to make progress on these efforts. Asia is an important business centre and we are thrilled to be further enhancing our offering with Daniel’s addition.”

Chen says: “I am excited to be part of a firm that represents the new generation of financial services companies. Perella Weinberg Partners’ professionals have extensive experience working with some of the largest companies and government agencies in the world.
