Davy Asset Management expands European operations with senior hire

Davy Asset Management, the international private wealth and asset management arm of the Davy Group, has appointed Doug Gordon (pictured) as its new Head of European Distribution.

The appointment signifies Davy Asset Management’s ambition to establish itself as a leading presence in the European funds industry, and its ongoing expansion internationally.
 
Gordon joins the firm from Threadneedle Investments, where he spent nine years as Sales Director, overseeing the firms’ Global Banks, Fund Managers, Stockbrokers and DFMs. Prior to this, he spent five years as an Investment Sales Manager at Morley Fund Management (now Aviva Investors), and two years in a similar role with HSBC Asset Management.
 
Gordon, who holds the full Investment Management Certificate and Investment Advice Certificate 1, will be based in Dublin.
 
Commenting on the hire, Paul Giblin, Chief Executive of Davy Asset Management says: “We are delighted to have Doug join our sales and marketing team.
