DWS has appointed Joe Kiwan as Head of Sales for Middle East and Africa.

DWS has appointed Joe Kiwan as Head of Sales for Middle East and Africa.

Based in Paris, Kiwan – who is French-Lebanese – will be responsible for building DWS’s footprint in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, with a particular focus on Active and Alternative strategies as clients continue to focus on outperformance in a low interest rate environment.
 
Reporting in to Olivier Dubost de Cadalvène, Head of DWS in France and Head of MEA Coverage, Kiwan is fluent in Arabic and has significant expertise and a strong track record in the MEA asset management sector. Prior to joining DWS, Kiwan spent eight years at TOBAM, a quant specialist asset manager and pioneer in smart beta investing, where he led business development activities in the Middle East, Switzerland, Italy and Spain.
 
Kiwan graduated with a Masters degree in Management from Audencia Business School, one of France’s elite Grande Ecole programs, and holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut.
