ESG specialist MainStreet Partners adds MD and Research Director

MainStreet Partners, a London based specialist in Investment Advisory and Portfolio Analytics in Sustainable, ESG and Impact Investments, has appointed Simone Gallo as Managing Director and Neill Blanks as Research Director.Co-Founded in 2008 by Rodolfo Fracassi, a former Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, MainStreet Partners is based in London and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It consists of two main divisions: 

Investment Advisory – which has USD1bn under advisory and offers bespoke investment solutions for creating ESG multi-asset and multi-manager portfolios with mutual funds, single stocks and bonds using traditional or absolute return benchmarks. The company develops products with its partners which target United Nations Sustainable Development Goals or thematic investments.

Portfolio Analytics – which provides a holistic approach to ESG analysis through several solutions such as: transparent and detailed Fund Sustainability Ratings (USD14 billionn), assessment of clients’ portfolios to enhance their ESG profile and align them with the “green” regulations.

Gallo brings almost 20 years’ experience to business development roles with leading asset managers working with European, Asian and US, having covered senior clients. He joins the London based ESG specialist from Swiss asset manager, Unigestion, where he was Head of Global Intermediary distribution for four years. From 2010, Simone worked for Pictet Asset Management as Senior Vice President in the Global Clients Group. Prior to this, he held various roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, including Co-Head of the International Marketing team and Head of the Global Partners team in charge of sales relationships across global accounts in EMEA. He started his career as a junior Portfolio Manager at Schroders Investment Management. Gallo holds the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing, IAC and IMC. 

Blanks also brings over 20 years’ experience in the asset management industry including the last four years in a senior leadership role at RM Caldecott & Partners LLP, an independent investment firm. He previously was Partner and Portfolio Manager in the wealth management division of Dalton Strategic Partnership LLP where he was responsible for global asset allocation and third party fund managers selection, acting as the Co-Manager of their company flagship multi-asset multi-manager fund, and responsible for managing discretionary segregated portfolios for private clients. Blanks started his career as an Equity Research Specialist at Schroder Investment Management and is a CFA Charterholder.
