Euromoney Indices launches intraday index service

RELATED TOPICS

Euromoney Indices (EI) has launched Precision, an intraday index levels service that enables fund providers to synchronise fund performance and valuations with their benchmarks.

Users of the new service include Henderson Global Investors.

Intraday levels are available for all Euromoney Indices at any time during European trading hours. This ensures exact coordination with individual fund valuation and currency fixing points.

Three large fund managers, based in the UK and continental Europe, have already signed up to the Precision service, using it for their funds benchmarked to the Euromoney Smaller European Companies Index and Smaller France Index.

Sui Chung, Managing Director of Euromoney Indices, says: "This new service provides both mangers and investors with greater accuracy and transparency around fund performance relative to the benchmark index, facilitating enhanced reporting and analysis.

"With active fund managers under ever increasing pressure to demonstrate the value that they provide, it is vital that they can illustrate their performance as clearly as possible."

Data is delivered to fund providers within 30 minutes of a fund’s valuation point. Constituent files are available for fund reconciliation and audit purposes and a daily dividend and corporate action diary is provided for full transparency. Intraday index levels are published on Bloomberg.
