Evercore Wealth Management has opened an office in San Francisco and has added four new partners and a senior adviser, all of whom will be based in the new office.

EWM, a division of Evercore Partners, focuses on serving clients with more than USD5m in investable assets.

Joining EWM as partners will be William Vaughn, equity portfolio manager, Judith Moses, equity portfolio manager, and Charles "Butch" Swindells, senior adviser. Two more partners will be joining the firm in July.

Vaughn, Swindells and Moses have significant experience in the wealth management business and have developed an extensive network of client relationships in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout the West Coast.

In addition, Swindells brings 30 years of investment and fiduciary services industry expertise to EWM. Prior to joining the firm, Swindells served as Western region vice chairman, US Trust Bank of America Private Wealth Management. He has also served as a member of the Oregon Investment Council.

"Wealth management is a service that is best delivered locally and we are extremely pleased to have these highly skilled and dedicated professionals join our growing firm and help us broaden EWM’s geographic presence," says Jeff Maurer, partner and chief executive officer, Evercore Wealth Management. "We have known Bill, Judy, Butch and the team for many years and they share our commitment to EWM’s founding principles of providing highly customized, conflict-free wealth management advice and services that support and advance clients’ wealth creation and preservation needs."
