Fearghal Woods has been named by Northern Trust as head of EMEA fund administration product.

Woods is responsible for defining and executing the regional product strategy in support of asset managers, including fund accounting, transfer agency, and ETF administration.

Woods, based in Dublin, joined Northern Trust in 2011 following the acquisition of Bank of Ireland Securities Services where he was director of business and product development.

He is the current chairman of the Irish Funds Industry Association council.

"As our clients offer a wider array of investment strategies across multiple jurisdictions, Northern Trust combines a truly global operations and technology platform with the expertise of a local provider," says Paul Fahey, head of product and strategy for global fund services at Northern Trust. "Fearghal will draw on years of product and business development experience in European fund administration to support our asset manager clients and prospects that sponsor and distribute products in the EMEA region."
