Glenmede to open New York City office

RELATED TOPICS

Glenmede, an investment and wealth management firm based in Philadelphia, is opening a New York City office and has hired Glenn Switzer as a senior member of the New York team.

Glenmede’s New York office will serve high-net-worth families, endowments and foundations, and institutional partners across the metropolitan area.

Switzer joins Glenmede from US Trust/Bank of America Private Wealth Management where he led a team of 16 investment professionals and was responsible for client assets in excess of USD1bn. He will report to Howard E.N. (Chip) Wilson, director of client services.

"We serve a national clientele. The increased interest we are experiencing from investors and industry partners in the New York area signals that this is an opportune time for us to establish an office," says Al Piscopo, president and chief executive officer of Glenmede. "We are building a team of advisors who share the service philosophy that defines Glenmede, and we are delighted Glenn has joined our effort."

Founded more than 50 years ago, Glenmede was originated to serve as the investment manager and trustee of The Pew Trusts established by children of Joseph N. Pew, founder of Sun Oil. Today, Glenmede remains privately owned and independent, and continues to be singularly focused on investment and wealth management. The company serves nearly 1,700 families and endowments and foundations, and oversees more than USD17bn of assets under management.
