Europe’s leading global insights platform, Atheneum, has planted more than 22,000 trees in over 10 months as part of its initiative to tackle global deforestation.

Atheneum’s platform provides a gateway to reliable industry knowledge, sought after by renowned investment firms, leading global corporations and well-known professional service firms.

In partnership with environmental charity One Tree Planted, Atheneum is committed to planting one tree for each expert interview conducted.

By collaborating with One Tree Planted, Atheneum has helped to rebuild ecosystems and support communities across the globe. Since the collaboration start in February 2019, a total of 22,168 trees have been planted across Haiti, Indonesia and Ethiopia – averaging around 73 a day.

Ammad Ahmad, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Atheneum, says: “We hope that our re-forestation initiative will go some way towards improving quality of life in local communities and help negate the effects of deteriorating air quality. As a global company we are keen to champion policies that have a positive impact on our environment and hope that other businesses will follow suit.”

Moving into 2020, Atheneum is looking forward to supporting a restoration project in Brazil, replenishing parts of the Atlantic Forest destroyed by fire, and a scheme in Rwanda working to help improve the livelihoods of female coffee farmers.

Powered by a network of over 450,000 global industry experts, Atheneum unlocks access to reliable and relevant insights quickly and securely, matching industry experts with businesses and helping clients all over the world to de-risk business decisions.
