Guy Stern joins Standard Life Investments board

RELATED TOPICS

Guy Stern has been appointed to the board of Standard Life Investments (SLI) as head of multi-asset and macro investing, reporting to Rod Paris, chief investment officer.

Stern’s (pictured) appointment reflects the strength of his leadership of SLI’s multi-asset Investing team and his investment track-record in multi-asset portfolio construction and implementation. Stern has been responsible for the day to day running of SLI’s multi-asset investments since 2008 and has 30 years’ experience in the industry.

“Guy will be a very valuable addition to the Executive team bringing a wide range of skills, knowledge and expertise in the areas of Multi-Asset and Macro Investing,” says Keith Skeoch, chief executive officer, Standard Life Investments. “Guy joins the board following the resignation of Euan Munro who has left to take up a broader senior business management role elsewhere. I would like to thank him for his contribution to the business and wish him every success in the future.

“Our team based culture means that Standard Life Investments is able to implement these changes with immediate effect with minimal disruption. The very strong, cross-team base of intellectual capital that underpins our multi-asset investment capabilities has been sustained by Guy’s appointment and gives us confidence that we will continue to produce strong fund performance and innovation for our clients in the future.”
