Swiss Hill Advisors, a specialist in the placement of hedge funds and alternative investment offerings to institutional investors, has been established by industry marketing and investor relations veteran Richard T Lieberman.
“Swiss Hill will focus on providing consulting and placement services to the next generation of hedge fund managers and take into account the needs of both managers and institutional investors. The goal is to match the investors’ needs with high quality institutional managers,” says Lieberman. “The next generation of managers and those with illiquid and niche strategies are becoming more popular as investors look for true alpha but the four Ps – people, philosophy, process, and performance – still dominate when it comes to investor allocations.”
Lieberman was most recently Head of Business Development at Atalaya Capital Management, an alternative investment firm primarily focused on investing in opportunities in the small and middle credit markets Over an eight year period, he led the multibillion dollar fundraising success across the firm’s investment platform from endowments, foundations, pensions, family offices, RIA’s and consultants. During his tenure, Lieberman was named 2010 Marketer of the Year by Institutional Investor’s Foundation & Endowment Money Management.
Prior to joining Atalaya Capital, Lieberman spent several years as a Vice President at Ramius, LLC, where he was instrumental in the implementation of the firm’s first marketing and client service department. Lieberman started his career in the Institutional Marketing Department of Bear Stearns Asset Management. Lieberman received his B.B.A from The George Washington University, School of Business and Public Management.
