Investec expands UK institutional business with new Direct DB/DC & Insurance Client role

RELATED TOPICS

Investec Asset Management has appointed Anna Genda to its 15-strong UK Institutional business, in a newly created role as Director, Direct Defined Benefit (DB)/Defined Contribution (DC) and Insurance.

Genda will assume the position on 1 August 2018, reporting to David Aird, Managing Director of the UK Client Group.

Genda’s appointment follows a number of recent enhancements within the UK Institutional business, designed to build on Investec Asset Management’s 20-year presence in the UK and recognise internal talent, through a series of hires and promotions. Ed Evers was recently promoted to Head of Global Consultants; Alastair Leather was appointed as Sales Director, Global and UK Consultants from Goldman Sachs Asset Management; and Michelle Campbell joined from LGIM as Sales Associate, Global and UK Consultants.

A Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Genda previously served for three years at Fidelity International, where she was latterly an Investment Director, representing Fidelity’s global equity capabilities with a focus on institutional investment strategies.  Previously she spent over six years in client facing investment consultancy roles, providing investment advice to trustees and corporate sponsors of DB and DC pension schemes.

David Aird, Managing Director, UK Client Group, says: “I am delighted that Anna will be joining our UK Institutional business next month. She brings with her additional skill sets that are highly relevant when dealing directly with pension scheme and insurance balance sheet CIO’s.

“Anna’s investment consulting and actuarial experience will allow us to bring appropriate actively managed solutions to our clients. Anna joins the team and the firm at an exciting time, with strong net flows and a range of investment strategies that are more relevant for our clients than ever before.”
