IQ-EQ appoints new Group Chief People Officer

RELATED TOPICS

IQ-EQ, a global investor services group, has appointed Caroline Bagshaw as its new Group Chief People Officer.

Bagshaw’s HR career to date spans more than 26 years and a diverse range of industry sectors, including technology, pharma and financial services. She has 18 years’ experience in regional and global HR leadership roles, working with HR and senior leadership teams across Europe, the US, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, with five years spent on international assignment in Dubai and Singapore.

Before joining IQ-EQ, Bagshaw was the interim Head of People at Monese, an app-based banking alternative. Prior to that, she spent six years with Mastercard as Executive Vice President, HR, International, where she led a worldwide team of 120 HR professionals, developed Mastercard’s people agenda and drove its execution across a number of key markets. She has also previously held senior HR roles with Standard Chartered and GlaxoSmithKline.

In her new role with IQ-EQ, Bagshaw will be based in the firm’s new flagship office in London and will hold a group-wide remit spanning 23 jurisdictions worldwide. Speaking about her appointment, Caroline said:

“Given its ongoing global growth and people-centric culture, IQ-EQ is a hugely exciting group to be part of – especially as an HR professional. I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring my own expertise to the table and lead IQ-EQ’s global people agenda and HR function forward as it continues to reach new heights.”

In taking up her new role, Bagshaw will be replacing IQ-EQ’s current Group Chief People Officer, Teresa Lamy, who is set to retire this year. Teresa commented:

“Over the past few months we have engaged in a robust and thorough recruitment process to ensure we secured for IQ-EQ the very best Chief People Officer that the market had to offer. I am confident we have found the right candidate in Caroline and feel comfortable in the knowledge that I’ll be leaving IQ-EQ’s people agenda in very safe hands.”

IQ-EQ’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Mark Pesco, says: “It is with pleasure that I welcome Caroline to the IQ-EQ Group. In line with the ‘EQ’ side of our brand and ethos, people form a key tenet of our group strategy, making the role of Group Chief People Officer one that’s absolutely critical to our success as a global business and employer. Though we will all be sad to see Teresa go, especially given everything she has achieved for the group since joining us in 2016, we believe Caroline to be a very worthy successor. She is an excellent fit for IQ-EQ and immensely well qualified, bringing with her a wealth of hands-on experience that will be of great benefit as we continue to deliver on our strategic vision. We wish Teresa the very best for her retirement and look forward to working closely with Caroline as we move forward on our growth journey.”
