Janney adds 16 to Capital Markets team

RELATED TOPICS

Janney Montgomery Scott (Janney), a full-service wealth management, capital markets, and asset management firm, appointed 16 Capital Markets professionals in the second quarter of 2018.

Nine of the new hires came to Janney as a result of the firm’s May acquisition of HighBank Advisors, a Baltimore-based middle market investment bank and financial advisory firm. The acquisition also expanded Janney’s Investment Banking division’s industry group coverage to six by introducing Business Services to the already established verticals of Basic Industries, Financial Institutions, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Real Estate.

“Janney’s Capital Markets Group experienced significant growth in the second quarter by expanding our middle-market advisory capabilities through the acquisition of HighBank and making several important hires on our Fixed Income and Equities teams,” says Joe Culley, Head of the Capital Markets Group. “The depth and breadth of talent from these recent appointments will enable Janney to continue to deliver best-in-class investment advice, investment banking services, and execution services to our clients and marketplace.”

The Capital Markets Group new hires include 11 additions to the Investment Banking group, one Fixed Income Sales professional, one Public Finance professional, two Equity Sales Trading professionals, and one Equity Research professional.
