Janus Henderson adds to Investment Trusts leadership team

Janus Henderson Investors has made two senior appointments to the London-based Investment Trust team – Dan Howe has been appointed Deputy Head of Investment Trusts and Oliver Packard has been appointed Head of Investment Trust Sales.

Howe joins Janus Henderson from JP Morgan Asset Management, where most recently he was Executive Director, Global Strategic Relationships. As Deputy Head of Investment Trusts at Janus Henderson, Howe will focus on enhancing the sales, marketing and business development activities of the Investment Trust business and assisting in managing Janus Henderson’s relationships with its client investment trusts. Dan will report to James de Sausmarez, Director and Head of Investment Trusts.
 
Packard joins Janus Henderson from Panmure Gordon, where he was Executive Director, Investment Fund Sales. Prior to this, Packard spent more than five years as Sales Director in Investment Trust Sales at Cenkos Securities PLC. As Head of Investment Trust Sales at Janus Henderson, Packard will lead and direct the activities of the investment trust dedicated sales team to develop the business across the professional adviser market.
 
James de Sausmarez, Director and Head of Investment Trusts of Janus Henderson Investors, says: “I am very pleased to announce these two senior appointments to the Investment Trust team at Janus Henderson and delighted that we have been able to attract two of the brightest talents in the sector.”
 
Dick Weil, Chief Executive Officer of Janus Henderson Investors, adds: “The Investment Trust business is Janus Henderson’s oldest business and remains core to our strategy going forward. As one of the market leaders, we are keen to enhance and grow the business and these new appointments will help us achieve that goal.”
