RELATED TOPICS

JP Morgan Asset Management has named James Peagam head of the firm's institutional business in North America.

Peagam (pictured) will be responsible for overseeing institutional distribution strategy, sales and client services and the region's team of dedicated client facing professionals. He will also continue his duties as Global Head of Insurance Solutions. He will remain based in the firm's New York headquarters and will now report to George Gatch, CEO of Global Funds and Institutional, JP Morgan Asset Management.

"James' previous experience working with complex insurance clients makes him a great fit for this role," says Gatch. "During his time with us, James has established himself as an outstanding leader who is adept at understanding the sophisticated and changing needs of clients and delivering JP Morgan's broad set of skills and solutions. We're pleased James is taking on a larger role as we continue to develop and build out our institutional client offering."

Peagam joined the firm in 2014 as European Head of Global Insurance Solutions and later expanded his role to lead the business globally. Prior to JP Morgan Asset Management, he was the Head of EMEA Sales Strategy for BlackRock's Financial Institutions Group and held positions in banking.
