Kames Capital strengthens property sales team

RELATED TOPICS

Kames Capital has recruited Shaun McWilliam as business development manager for its property investment business.

McWilliam (pictured) joins Kames from AXA Real Estate, where he was head of sales and client service for the UK, Ireland and Nordic region. He is a real estate specialist with 18 years’ experience working with institutional clients and consultants. Based in London, he will join the institutional sales team as a property specialist, reporting to Kames’ head of institutional sales Jon Dadswell.

Kames Capital’s London-based property investment team which is led by Phil Clark, covers direct property investment on a segregated and pooled basis; indirect multi-manager investment; and specialist funds such as healthcare.

Dadswell says: “We are delighted to welcome Shaun to Kames Capital at such an exciting time for our property investment business. In the first half of 2013 we were awarded segregated property mandates totalling GBP267m from a number of institutional clients including Coca-Cola Enterprises Pension Scheme and the Kelda Group Pension Plan. Shaun is highly experienced in the institutional market in the UK and Continental Europe and he will play a key role as we look to build awareness of our property investment capabilities.”
