Kempen Capital Management (Kempen) has made two new appointments to its Sustainable Equity strategy team.

Ivo Kuiper has been appointed as senior portfolio manager and Raoul Martin as equity analyst. The new team members further reflect Kempen’s commitment to the investment strategy centred on sustainability and engaged stewardship with a long-term investment horizon.

Within the strategy, Ivo Kuiper will focus on the continued ESG data implementation for the underlying funds, in addition to his responsibility for the industrial sector. Ivo’s former position was head of asset allocation and government bonds at Kempen. Raoul Martin is joining the team after a successful traineeship at Kempen as an equity analyst and data specialist.

Richard Klijnstra, head of Kempen Sustainable Equity, says: “We are excited and pleased to welcome Ivo and Raoul to our team. Their addition to the team will ensure that we are very well positioned to reinforce our fundamental investment analysis with insights from both financial and alternative ESG data. This, in combination with the strong track record that we have built up over the past three years for our European as well as our global strategy, will ensure that we are prepared to take the next step on the road to a very remarkable Sustainable Equity franchise.”

Lars Dijkstra, CIO van Kempen, says: “With the five-man team, we are taking the next step in the active dialogue with the companies in which we invest to make a positive impact. Data analytics and active ownership form the foundation of the added value that we provide as active asset managers. With the upcoming EU taxonomy, this role will become even more important. By strengthening the team, we can even better serve the sustainability ambitions of our customers.”
