Crestbridge is continuing to bolster its EU Management Company proposition with the appointment of Anika Ratzmann as Head of Legal and Compliance, Management Company (ManCo) Operations.
Based in Luxembourg, in her new role at Crestbridge, Ratzmann will assume responsibility for the management and development of the legal and compliance departments within the organisation’s ManCo division and play a key role in its strategic growth.
A specialist in investment fund distribution and sustainability within the financial services sector, Ratzmann has a deep understanding of legal and compliance requirements in the cross-border funds environment. In her previous roles, she was responsible for providing legal support to management companies, super-management companies and various investment funds (UCITS, AIF and non-AIF, SICARs) throughout the client life-cycle.
Ratzmann has a Master’s degree in Law from the Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and has passed her second state examination in Germany from the Kammergericht Berlin. She also holds the M1 and M2 compliance certificates from the Association Luxembourgeoise des Compliance Officers, whilst she is also a co-chair of ALFI’s RI Legal and Policy – Prospectuses working group and member of various other working groups.
On 2 February 2021, Ratzmann will be participating in ALFI’s briefing on the imminent introduction of the EU’s SFDR. Speaking alongside ALFI colleague David Louis, Anika will be discussing certain disclosure requirements of the SFDR and how to implement them from a practical perspective. Further information about that event can be found here.
Daniela Klasen-Martin, Managing Director of Crestbridge’s Luxembourg office, says: “We’re seeing a rapid rise in interest in our EU ManCo platform as asset managers look for pragmatic robust solutions to ensure ongoing pan-European distribution. With this in mind, we’re continuing to strengthen and enhance our ManCo platform in Luxembourg and I’m delighted to welcome Anika to the team. Her knowledge of the evolving legal and compliance requirements within the EU and cross-border funds environment will be pivotal in strengthen our management team, driving our growth strategy and in providing clients with the expertise and knowledge they are looking for.”
