Legal & General launches analytics and risk management platform for pooled pension clients

RELATED TOPICS

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) is launching Legal & General Prism, an online monitoring, analytics and risk management platform aimed at pooled pension clients.

L&G Prism has been developed in partnership with PensionsFirst, a provider of pension analytics. LGIM believes that by leveraging its scale in the UK defined benefit (DB) market, it can now deliver access to ground breaking analytics, at an unrivalled level of affordability. L&G Prism will bring smaller schemes more in line with the analytics currently available to larger schemes.

L&G Prism underpins LGIM’s wider strategic focus on being the leading provider of retirement solutions, as well as increasing the use of digital technology to enhance the client experience.

L&G Prism allows clients to monitor their funding status, analyse their risk exposure and explore the effectiveness of different investment strategies using LGIM’s pooled investment products.

Mark Wybrow, head of core clients, LGIM says: “In our position as the largest manager of UK DB pension scheme assets, we are seeing a growing number of smaller schemes looking to implement more risk-aware, scheme-specific investment strategies. Clients want to talk to us about the best ways of diversifying, hedging and ultimately insuring the risks associated with their pension scheme. As a result, we are committed to leveraging our size and resources to ensure they are able to draw upon the most sophisticated analytics and decision-making tools available to help them do this. We are delighted to already be in discussions with a number of pension schemes and advisory firms with respect to how L&G Prism can transform the way they manage pension risk.”
