LGIM hires three for liability driven investment team

RELATED TOPICS

Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) has hired three portfolio construction managers to its liability driven investment (LDI) team.

Client demand for LGIM’s solutions capabilities has driven significant growth in this area during the last five years. As at end December 2012, LGIM managed GBP199bn in exposure for clients within LDI mandates.

Alastair Mills joins from Cardano where he was a senior LDI investment manager responsible for managing UK clients’ fully delegated interest rate and inflation hedging portfolios. Prior to this, he held senior positions at Aviva Investors and the Bank of England.

Anne-Marie Cunnold joins from BlackRock where she worked as a strategist focusing on LDI solutions across a wide range of UK pension funds. Prior to this she was an equity portfolio manager at Close Brothers.

Florent Herelle transfers internally from the LGIM index funds team, where he was involved in managing derivative overlay mandates. Prior to joining LGIM, he worked at Societe Generale Asset Management managing a range of derivative based funds.

Eve Finn (pictured), head of portfolio construction, LDI funds, says: “LGIM remains focused on delivering high quality LDI solutions to our clients and their investment advisers. We continue to invest in the business, to maintain the high standards we have set both for our existing clients and for those we hope to attract. These senior hires, when added to our already strong team, ensure that we continue to construct the most efficient solutions as our clients look to manage their risks in continually challenging market conditions.”
