Link Asset Services has appointed Rik Douwes as new managing director for its loan-servicing business in the Netherlands.
The appointment is a central part of the company’s strategy to grow and strengthen its proposition in the region.
Prior to joining Link, Douwes (pictured), set up and ran Inadmin, a pension administration business for one of the world’s largest fiduciary pension servicing companies, APG, to provide administration for pension funds and insurance companies, servicing more than 250,000 individuals.
His experience also includes holding the position of Managing Director at Bouwfonds Hypotheken, the Netherlands’ fifth-largest residential mortgage lender, for five years. He also founded Stater, the country’s biggest mortgage service provider, was a partner in charge of Accenture’s insurance services in the Netherlands, and has also held senior positions at MSG, providing software for the pensions, mortgages and financial services industries.
Link Asset Services is the largest independent loan servicer in Europe, providing end-to-end capability in the loan management life-cycle, with over EUR100 billion of commercial and residential assets under management.
Robbie Hughes, CEO of Link Asset Services’ credit management division, says: “Rik is a great fit for our business. He has got incredible industry experience and has extensive knowledge of the Benelux region. Having set up a series of successful companies, he also brings an entrepreneurial mind-set, which will be a significant benefit to our business as we expand our end-to-end loan servicing offering in the Netherlands.”
Douwes says: “Link Asset Services has built a strong reputation as a powerhouse for end-to-end loan servicing in Europe, and the Netherlands is one of the most vibrant markets for mortgages right now, so this is a thrilling time to be joining the business. I look forward to helping it grow together with Jan-Paul Hendriks, the Managing Director of Link Asset Services in the Netherlands.”
