Lionpoint Group launches alternative investments portfolio monitoring, compliance & reporting service

RELATED TOPICS

Lionpoint Group has launched a new service to help alternative investments clients address manager and investor requirements for greater transparency of underlying portfolio companies and investment holdings.

Primary services include process optimisation, operational efficiency improvements and the implementation of enabling technologies to support the collection, validation, normalisation, performance reporting and analytics associated with underlying holdings in Private Capital, with a focus on Private Equity, Real Estate and Infrastructure. Offerings also include support with risk and compliance monitoring as well as Portfolio Company and underlying investment valuations.

While remaining product agnostic, the Lionpoint Group team has solution expertise with products including AssetEye, Baxon, eFront FrontInvest, iLEVEL, Peracon, SunGard Investran, Taliance GlobalFund and Voyanta.  The team works closely with industry bodies to align with emerging standards emanating from industry bodies such as ILPA, NAREIM and INREV, as well as the new European Central Bank (ECB) standards for asset-backed securities.

Leading the new service line is Bob Rieger, who joins Lionpoint Group with over 20 years of alternative investment, real estate, software product management, and GE Six Sigma Black Belt experience.  He is joined by Jeff Aragones, a client delivery specialist with several years' experience implementing solutions for GP and LP clients, most recently with iLEVEL Solutions.

"This is an exciting time to join Lionpoint Group and develop this important service offering for our clients. The increasingly complex regulatory and compliance environment is forcing managers and investors to pierce the fund structure and gather pertinent data on underlying portfolio companies or asset holdings. The same is now true for asset-backed securities such as commercial real estate loan portfolios. Implementing a combination of process and software solutions is critical to enabling timely and well structured data to support internal and external reporting and analytics," explains Rieger.
"Bob and Jeff are great additions to the Lionpoint Group team and we are excited to bring more innovative solutions to our global clients to ease the data management and reporting burdens they face," says Nick Moore, Executive Director.
